JUST GIVING
The easiest way to collect sponsorship money is to set up an account with Just Giving.
This is an online sponsorship collection system which will automatically transfer funds to your chosen charity.
Sponsors can donate at the click of a button – either by credit or debit card, or via a PayPal account.
We want as many people as possible to use Just Giving to collect their sponsorship money - it is simple, quick and allows Ataxia UK to see at a glance how many people have participated and how much money has been raised.
Additionally, for every donation made by a UK tax payer, Just Giving allows the addition of Gift Aid.
It’s easy to direct friends and family to your Just Giving page – simply email them the link, or share in social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
YOUR ACCOUNT
Setting up an account is fast and very simple, and the Just Giving website includes detailed instructions every step of the way.
Visit Graham's Just Giving Page
Use the "Get a page like this" link as shown in the screenshot.
Just Giving will then take you through the account creation process.
Find and select "Ataxia UK" as your charity. On the next screen select "Organised Event" and then choose "Big Bad Bike Ride 2010".
When asked about Gift Aid the correct answer is: "My charity is not contributing" to the costs.
It's important that you make sure your account is associated with the Big Bad Bike Ride 2010 so that we can keep track of how much you've raised.
